How’s Nashville is proactively lining up housing and support service resources for people experiencing chronic homelessness in our community.
In particular, our How’s Nashville partners offer assistance to help people navigate from the streets/shelters into permanent housing. Once people are ready to move in, we offer them ongoing support services.
One big barrier to housing is setting up a new household. People who experience long-term homelessness do not have furniture. They also do not have a savings account to pay for move-in costs.
For $1,000 we can open the door to an apartment for one household. Please consider sponsoring one person!
Your donation will pay for move-in costs including rent & utility deposits, basic furniture, and essential household goods. We are also utilizing these funds to remove barriers to housing by paying for ID and birth certificate replacements, owed back-up rents, back payments for utilities, and other expenses that prevent a person from renting a place.
