Our community partnerships, which have strengthened through the How’s Nashville effort, have an immediate and real impact on the people we all serve. Take Richard, for example. He was identified by partner agencies who provide direct services as one of the most vulnerable veterans in our community. (We all are using an assessment tool called the VI-SPDAT).
This week, thanks to the hard work and collaboration of the Mental Health Cooperative, Urban Housing Solutions, and the Metropolitan Homelessness Commission, Richard was able to move into permanent supportive housing. We are working together to help people who are experiencing street homelessness (sleeping in the street or in shelters) and are extremely vulnerable move into housing and wrap services around them to help them remain in housing long-term.
Please support our efforts and consider making a donation to How’s Nashville to help cover move-in costs for people like Richard.
