Over 350 housed

It is cold again in Nashville, which brings home the urgency to work on ending chronic homelessness and bringing people indoors for good.

The ultimate solution is permanent supportive housing. We still have a lot of work to do. But let’s take a moment of celebration and thank our partner agencies for helping 356 people who have experienced long-term homelessness move into permanent housing between the beginning of June and the end of December 2013.

That means an average of 50 people moved into their own apartments every month. This compares to an average of 19 people housed during January and May of 2013. Nashville about doubled its reported monthly housing placement rate under the collaborative effort of the How’s Nashville campaign!
