Since the launch of the campaign, our community has assisted 350 people, who have been experiencing longterm homelessness and are vulnerable, with permanent housing.
We would like to take this opportunity and thank all our donors that have made it possible for us to support people who enter housing with assistance of the How’s Nashville campaign with move-in costs.
Since June 4, we have raised about $120,000 in private funds. We currently spend the money by assisting people with removing barriers to housing including some move-in costs. Depending on individuals’ situations, we help pay for cost items such as rent and utility deposits, basic furniture and essential household items.
Moving forward, the need for donations that allow us to spend money in a flexible way and help people move into their own apartments continues.
At this point, we would like to especially mention two recent large donors: The Boulevard Bolt, which has generated a $12,000 for the How’s Nashville campaign, and the Greater Nashville Apartment Association (GNAA), which generously donated $5,000 towards the campaign.
